She’s on to us.

We think we’re doing some sort of game, but she knows it’s a didactic exercise, and she’s not going to play by the boring rules.

I’m pointing at something which has a series of colors—you know, red, orange, yellow, green, etc.—and I ask her what colors there are. She points at the red and says, “yellow!” Then she points at the orange and says, “green!” And then she points at the yellow, then the green, saying in turn, “six, seven!”

Then she gives me a big smile.
