This is supposed to be snow.
That’s what just hit me as I’m looking out the window. That, and my god, what a big pile of mud our construction site is becoming. What is this, Seattle? Calcutta?
Okay, maybe it’s not that bad. But this is a lot of rain for Colorado, in September. And just as I felt every time it rained in early spring, I feel it again—this is supposed to be snow. When I grew up, there would usually be a snow in late September. Often a big one. And here it is, only it’s pre-melted.
It rained hard for maybe an hour at 3:30 in the morning, and it had lifted this morning. But it came back with a vengeance. Sigh. Glad we took the time to put the boards back down and make the walkway to the back porch over the … wait a second, over the LAKE we have in our back yard. Wish I’d thought to cover the lumber on a whim yesterday.
